Iran executes five prisoners, including two Lors, in four cities

Iranian authorities have executed five prisoners, including two Lors, in the prisons of Khorramabad, Hamedan, Yasuj, and Shiraz. The individuals were identified as Yazdan Chegini, Abolfazl Sohrabi, Peyman Ghasemi, Habib Zare, and Salim Samadi, all of whom had previously been sentenced to death by the judiciary on charges of “premeditated murder” and “drug-related offences.”

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Chegini, a Lor prisoner from Lorestan Province, was executed at dawn on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Khorramabad Central Prison. He had been arrested on charges of “premeditated murder” and later sentenced to death by the judiciary.

On the same day, Sohrabi was executed in Hamedan Central Prison after being convicted on “drug-related charges.”

Also that day, Ghasemi, another Lor prisoner, was executed in Yasuj Central Prison after being convicted of “premeditated murder.”

Zare, 37, from Shiraz, and Samadi, 40, from Rudan in Hormozgan Province, were executed earlier that week, at dawn on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Shiraz Central (Adelabad) Prison. Both had been arrested on “drug-related charges” and later sentenced to death.

Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not reported these executions.
