Brothers Yaser and Salman Edvaei arrested in Sarvabad

Yaser Edvaei and Salman Edvaei, two Kurdish men from Sarvabad, were arrested by the Intelligence Department forces of the city and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Yaser Edvaei and Salman Edvaei, both from the village of Selin in Sarvabad (Sawlawa), were arrested at around 3 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, by Intelligence Department agents. The arrests were carried out without any warrants.
According to a source close to the Edvaei family, the arrest of these two men, who are owners of the “Qalawaz” restaurant in the Oramanat tourist area, took place without a court order in the early hours of the morning.
These men have been denied their fundamental rights, including the right to contact their families and access to legal counsel, since the moment of their arrest. Family inquiries regarding their situation have yielded no results.
There is no confirmed information regarding the reasons for the arrests, the alleged charges, or the fate and whereabouts of the Edvaei brothers.
