Whereabouts of Ali Bahrami remain unknown after arrest in Baruq

Ali Bahrami, a Turkish man from Baruq, has been arrested by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location. Three days after his detention, his fate and whereabouts remain unknown.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Bahrami, 42, and a father of two, was arrested by plainclothes agents on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

He has been accused of “links with Israel.”

Despite persistent efforts by his family to obtain information regarding his status and place of detention, no clarification has been provided by relevant authorities.
