Public execution of Mohammad Zakiri carried out in Borazjan

Iranian authorities have carried out the public execution of a man identified as Mohammad Zakiri on charges of rape in Bushehr Province.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Borazjan Cemetery, in the presence of the public.

Zakiri was originally from Goldasht village in the Shabankara district of Bushehr Province. He was arrested seven years ago on charges of raping and killing an eight-year-old girl and was later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

State media outlets, including judiciary-affiliated platforms, have not reported the public execution.
