Iranian state forces arrest four in armed raid in Bukan

The Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has arrested four Kurdish men from Bukan during a violent and intimidation-driven raid. The detainees — Soleyman (Mohammad) Esmaeili, Diyar Haji-Resoulpour, Diyan Rasoulpour, and Ahmad Zarang — have been taken to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests were carried out in coordinated early-morning raids on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Esmaeili, 60, and the other detainees are residents of Bukan, except for Ahmad Zarang, who is from the nearby village of Golulan-e Sofla. All four men were beaten during the arrests, and security forces confiscated their personal belongings, including mobile phones and books.

Government forces also raided Esmaeili’s garden house, firing live ammunition that shattered doors and windows before conducting a full search of the property.

No information has been provided regarding the reasons for the arrests or the charges against the men.
