Hengaw — Thursday, December 11, 2025

Iran has executed 11 prisoners — including three Gilak and three Lor inmates — in a series of executions carried out in the prisons of Bojnord, Mahshahr, Sari, Ferdows, Behbahan, Taybad, Rasht, and Isfahan. All had been convicted on charges of premeditated murder or drug-related offenses.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentences of three prisoners — Ali Shamloo, a Kurdish prisoner executed on drug-related charges; Kabir Mahmoudvand, a Lor inmate from Mahshahr; and Yaser Jahantigh, a Gilak inmate from Sari — were carried out at dawn on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in the prisons of Bojnord (North Khorasan), Mahshahr, and Sari. Mahmoudvand and Jahantigh had been convicted of premeditated murder.

On the same day, three additional prisoners were executed. Mohammad Ghahremani from Ferdows in South Khorasan and Sasan Sheikhi, a Lor prisoner from Behbahan in Khuzestan, were both convicted of murder. Manouchehr Navabi was executed on drug-related charges. The executions were carried out in the prisons of Ferdows, Behbahan, and Taybad in Razavi Khorasan.

Separately, the execution of Saeed Khosh-Kalam, 27, from Karaj, was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Rasht Central Prison (Lakan). He had been arrested three years earlier on drug-related charges.

Continuing the recent wave of executions, at dawn on Monday, December 8, 2025, four prisoners were put to death in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd). Those executed were Mohammad Soori, a Lor inmate; Shahram Mirzadeh from Taybad; Fardin Rezaei, 37, a Gilak prisoner from Rasht and father of two children; and Habib Faridi, a Gilak prisoner from Lahijan, approximately 30 years old.

Soori had been detained for two years, Mirzadeh for three years, Rezaei for two years, and Faridi for around five years — all on drug-related charges that resulted in death sentences.

None of these executions have been reported by Iranian state media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
