Three relatives of killed protester Reza Ahmadiabadi detained in Fooladshahr

Three Lor men, Jahangir Ahmadiabadi, Sadegh Ahmadiabadi, and Ali Salehivand, were detained in Fooladshahr by Iranian government forces following the killing of their relative, Reza Ahmadiabadi, during protests in the city. The men were transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Jahangir Ahmadiabadi, 31, and Sadegh Ahmadiabadi, 36, along with their nephew Ali Salehivand, 21, were detained with the use of force by government forces.

Sources familiar with the case said the detentions occurred after the killing of Reza Ahmadiabadi. Salehivand was arrested while suffering from gunshot wounds sustained during the protests.

Reza Ahmadiabadi, a 53-year-old Lor man from Fooladshahr in Isfahan Province, was killed after participating in public protests in the city when Iranian government forces opened direct fire using live ammunition.

No precise information is available regarding the whereabouts or condition of the detainees.
