According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Righys, the three men were killed on Friday, January 9, 2026, as a result of direct gunfire by Iranian government forces during protests in Tehran.

The victims have been identified as Nasir Nasiri, a Kurdish man from Rostamabad in Gilan Province; Omid Saeedi, 39, from Sanandaj (Sine); and Arsalan Ghahramani, 26, from the village of Cheshmeh Sefid (Kanichermeh) in Divandarreh County.

Hengaw has learned that Pouria Saeedi, the brother of Omid Saeedi, was wounded by pellet gunfire after his brother was killed and was subsequently arrested. No information has been made available regarding his health condition or place of detention.

Additionally, 700 million tomans were extorted from the family of Omid Saeedi as a condition for the release of his body.
