Seven relatives of Arman Gorjian arrested in Nurabad; fate unknown

At least seven relatives of Arman Gorjian, a 19-year-old protester killed during the January protests, have been arbitrarily arrested by Iranian government forces, with no information released about their whereabouts or legal status.
The detainees, all residents of Nurabad in Fars Province, have been identified as Saeid Gorjian (25), Milad Gorjian (23), Ramtin Gorjian (22), Ramin Kiaei, Sharif Kiani, Saham Behzadi, and Fardin Baziyar, all from Baba Meydan-e Zirrah, a district of Mamasani County.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the seven individuals were detained on Sunday, January 18, 2026, and have since been held incommunicado for more than 12 days.
Repeated efforts by their families to obtain information regarding their fate, location, or charges have so far been unsuccessful.
Arman Gorjian, 19, was shot and killed by Iranian government forces on January 8, 2026, during protests in Baba Meydan-e Zirrah, Nurabad.
