Four prisoners executed in multiple Iranian prisons

Iranian authorities have executed four prisoners, Saeed Barahouei, Sadegh Bazvand, Saeed Seydi Tabaei, and Reza Mahdinejad, in separate prisons across the country. All four had previously been convicted on charges of “premeditated murder” or “drug-related offenses.”
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Baloch prisoner Saeed Barahouei, known as Randouk, about 22 years old and a resident of Shirabad, Zahedan, was executed in Zahedan Central Prison at dawn on Thursday, October 2, 2025. He had been arrested two years earlier and sentenced to death for the killing of a man identified as Omid Roudini.
Lor prisoner Sadegh Bazvand was executed on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in Dezful Central Prison, Khuzestan Province, following a conviction for premeditated murder.
On the same day, Saeed Seydi Tabaei was executed in Karaj Central Prison, referred to by state media as the “Karaj Central Penitentiary.” According to informed sources, he had been arrested six years earlier and sentenced to death on murder charges.
In a separate case, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Kurdish prisoner Reza Mahdinejad, 21, from Kuhdasht in Lorestan Province, was executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. He had been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death.
State media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, had not reported on the executions of these four prisoners.
