Hengaw – Tuesday, January 13, 2026

Two Lor men—Reza Ahmadi and Amin Ghobadi—along with another individual, Mostafa Safian, were killed by direct live fire from Iranian government forces during public protests in the cities of Fuladshahr and Shahreza, both in Isfahan Province.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mostafa Safian, a resident of Shahreza, was killed by government forces on Friday, January 9, 2026.

A source close to Safian’s family told Hengaw that his body has not been handed over. Security agencies informed the family that the burial would be carried out by authorities themselves and that only three family members would be permitted to attend. The family has also been explicitly banned from holding any mourning ceremonies.

Separately, Reza Ahmadi (43), a married father of four, and Amin Ghobadi (20), both residents of Fuladshahr, were killed by government forces on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Sources stated that Amin Ghobadi was shot in the chest by government forces. His body has not been returned to his family, and Iranian security institutions have demanded between two and three billion tomans in exchange for handing over his body.

According to informed sources, two brothers of Reza Ahmadi were also severely injured during the same protests and are currently hospitalized. One of them is reported to be in a coma.
