Femicide - Seyedeh Zeinab Razmjou killed by her son-in-law in Ardakan

Seyedeh Zeinab Razmjou, a 63-year-old woman, was killed by her son-in-law in Ardakan, Yazd Province, Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has learned.

The killing took place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the home of her daughter in Ardakan. Razmjou, who was originally from Dehdasht in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, had traveled to the city to visit her daughter and was staying there as a guest.

According to a source close to the family, the attacker confronted her shortly after she left a mosque. Following a brief argument, he assaulted her with a knife and a brick, striking her multiple times in the head and body. She died from the injuries sustained in the attack.

The source added that the assault was captured by surveillance cameras. The perpetrator was subsequently arrested and remains in custody.
