Father and son detained in Piranshahr, fate still unknown

More than a week after the arrest of two Kurdish residents of Piranshahr, Mohyeddin Maroufnia and his son, Behnam Maroufnia, their fate remains unknown.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, despite repeated efforts by their family to obtain information, security institutions have refused to disclose the location of their detention or provide any details about their condition.

The father and son were arrested last week by security forces without the presentation of a warrant. Since then, they have been denied access to legal counsel and family visits.

Their current whereabouts, legal status, and any charges against them remain unknown.
