IRGC gunfire kills two Baloch civilians near Rask
Hengaw – Friday, April 24, 2026
Two Baloch civilians, Mohammad Akram Akhtari and Mohammad Eslam Saeedi, were killed after Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces intentionally opened fire on a civilian vehicle near Jakigor in Rask County.
State media later sought to justify the killings by describing the victims as members of a “terrorist team.”
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, forces on a road near Jakigor opened fire on a Toyota Land Cruiser at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, without prior warning or any order to stop. Both men were killed at the scene.
Hengaw has verified that both victims were residents of Darchoub village in the Sarkour area of Sarbaz County.
Haalvsh, which covers developments in Balochistan, reported that the shooting took place without any warning and that the vehicle’s occupants were struck by multiple bullets.
Meanwhile, security-affiliated media outlets, including Fars News Agency, claimed they had targeted a “terrorist team” in Rask County. The allegation was made despite the absence of any evidence that the victims were armed or that any exchange of fire had taken place.
Hengaw Organization for Human Rights condemns the systematic killing of Baloch civilians. The repeated use of security labels and terrorism accusations to justify arbitrary and extrajudicial shootings has long been a policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran aimed at evading accountability.
