Two Baloch brothers killed by Iranian government forces in Khash

Two Baloch brothers, Abdolmalek Rigi (Gangouzehi) and Esmail Rigi, were killed after Iranian government forces opened fire directly on their vehicle in Khash.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the brothers were killed on Monday, July 27, 2026, when Iranian government forces opened fire on their vehicle. Abdolmalek Rigi, 30, who was married, and his 22-year-old brother, Esmail Rigi (Gangouzehi), were from Kalleh Shah Tut village in Taftan County.

Government forces opened direct fire on the brothers' Pride sedan in the Naseri area of Khash. Informed sources told Hengaw that the forces first shot at the vehicle to bring it to a stop, then opened fire on the car and its occupants with military-grade and semi-heavy weapons.

Following the shooting, government forces removed the brothers' bodies from the scene and prevented local residents from approaching the area.

Iranian authorities have not provided any explanation for the killing of the two brothers.
