Hengaw – Tuesday, May 5, 2026

Fakhraddin Jafaraghaei, a 40-year-old resident of Zabol, remains in legal limbo nearly one month after his violent arrest by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence forces.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Jafaraghaei was arrested on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, following a violent raid by IRGC intelligence agents. After undergoing 10 days of interrogation in a security detention facility, he was transferred to Zahedan Central Prison.

Iranian judicial authorities have charged him with “propaganda against the state” and have so far refused to grant him temporary release on bail.

Sources told Hengaw that Jafaraghaei had been under medical supervision prior to his arrest and was taking psychiatric medication. The denial of access to his essential medication during detention, combined with interrogation pressures, has placed his physical and mental health at serious risk.

His continued detention without adequate medical care has raised significant concerns among his family regarding his well-being.
