Fate and whereabouts of two brothers remain unknown after arrest in Izeh

More than one week after the arrest of two Bakhtiari Lor brothers, Pezhman Taghizadeh and Farshad Taghizadeh, from Izeh in Khuzestan province, no clear information has been made available  their fate.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the two brothers were arrested on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, during a raid carried out by Iranian government forces and were subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.

Despite repeated efforts by the Taghizadeh family to obtain information from security institutions and the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Izeh, authorities have so far refused to provide any transparent explanation regarding the reasons for their arrest or the charges against them.
