Kurdish man Mohammadreza Faryadi remains detained incommunicado in Ilam province

Four days after the arrest of Mohammadreza Faryadi, a Kurdish man from Sarableh in Ilam province, no information has been made available regarding his fate, place of detention or health condition.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Faryadi was arrested by Intelligence Ministry forces on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The arrest was carried out by Iranian government forces without the presentation of a warrant.

No information has been provided regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him or his place of detention. Repeated efforts by his family to obtain information about his situation have so far remained unsuccessful.
