Kurdish man Dariush Rahimi arrested during violent raid in Sanandaj

Dariush Rahimi, a Kurdish man, has been arrested during a violent raid by Iranian security forces on his home in Sanandaj (Sine) and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, security forces entered Rahimi’s home on August 15, 2026, without presenting a warrant and arrested him using physical force.

Sources close to Rahimi’s family said security forces thoroughly searched his home and confiscated the mobile phones belonging to him and his wife.

No information is available regarding the reason for Rahimi’s arrest, the charges against him, or his place of detention.
