Kurdish man Abbas Mamousi arrested in Dehloran and transferred to Ilam Central Prison

A Kurdish man from Dehloran identified as Abbas Mamousi has been detained by Iranian government forces for the past three days and transferred to Ilam Central Prison.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Abbas Mamousi, a young resident of Dehloran county, was arrested by Iranian government forces on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Sources told Hengaw that the forces arrested Mamousi without presenting any warrant and, following initial procedures, transferred him to the quarantine ward of Ilam Central Prison.

Hengaw has learned that the arrest was related to what authorities described as “expressing joy following the death of Khamenei.”
