Afghan national Abdollah Jalali executed in Zahedan Central Prison

Iranian authorities executed Abdollah Jalali, a 25-year-old Afghan national who had been convicted of "drug-related offenses."
Information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights indicates that Jalali was executed in the early hours of Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Zahedan Central Prison.
According to Haalvsh, Jalali was a married father of two from Khashrud District in Afghanistan's Nimroz Province. He was arrested in Zahedan four years ago, at the age of 21, by Iranian law enforcement forces on charges related to "drug offenses."
Iranian state media and official outlets affiliated with the Iranian Judiciary have not announced his execution.
