Eleven prisoners, including one Afghan national, executed in eight Iranian prisons

Iranian authorities executed 11 prisoners across eight prisons in Kashmar, Mashhad, Ferdows, Karaj, Aligudarz, Ardabil, Behbahan, Ilam, and Nahavand. The prisoners included three Lor men, two Kurdish prisoners, two Turk prisoners, and one Afghan national.
According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ne'mat Gholami was executed in Kashmar Prison in Razavi Khorasan Province at dawn on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Gholami had been arrested on charges “related to drug offences” and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
Mohsen Aziz-Farkhani was executed the same day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. Aziz-Farkhani, 47, had been imprisoned for five years on charges “related to drug offences.” He had previously been arrested at the age of 32 on a charge of “premeditated murder” and sentenced to qisas (retributive death sentence), but was released after ten years when the complainants pardoned him.
Nourkhoda Shahrokhi was also executed on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Ferdows Prison in South Khorasan Province. Shahrokhi had been convicted of “premeditated murder.”
Farhad Heydar, an Afghan national, and Mohammad-Hossein Khazaei, a Kurdish man from Kermanshah (Kermashan) living in Karaj, were executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Khazaei had been convicted of “premeditated murder.” Heydar, 40, had been arrested three years earlier on the same charge of “premeditated murder.” He had been transferred to solitary confinement two days before the execution and met his family for the last time one day later.
Bahman Salehi, a Lor man and father of one child, was executed in Aligudarz Prison in Lorestan Province on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Salehi had been arrested three years earlier on a charge of “premeditated murder” and sentenced to death.
Shahram Shamsi, a Turk prisoner, was executed in Ardabil Central Prison on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Shamsi had been convicted of “premeditated murder.”
Behzad Alipour, a Lor prisoner, was executed the same day, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Behbahan Prison in Khuzestan Province. Alipour had been convicted of “premeditated murder.”
Kambiz Foroukhi, a Kurdish prisoner, was executed on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Ilam Central Prison. Foroukhi had been convicted of “premeditated murder.”
Mohammad-Ali Jahanian, a Lor prisoner, was executed on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Nahavand Prison in Hamadan Province. Jahanian had been convicted of “premeditated murder.”
Alireza Froohandeh, a Turk man from Parsabad in Ardabil Province, was also executed on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Ardabil Central Prison. Froohandeh, 23, had been arrested four years earlier on a charge of “premeditated murder” and sentenced to death.
State media, including judiciary-affiliated outlets, have not reported any of these executions.
