Two IRGC members killed, two injured in attack in Paveh

At least two members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), known among Kurds as Jash, were killed and two others were seriously injured in the city of Paveh, Kermanshah (Kermashan) Province, during an attack claimed by a newly formed group calling itself "Xori Hiwa" (Sun of Hope).

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the attack took place on the evening of Monday, June 29, 2026, in the Mirabad neighborhood of Paveh. The two IRGC members killed were identified as Khaled Khaledi and Borhan Karisani.

Two other IRGC members, Kamil Shabrang, also known as Kamil Hajiji, and Kamal Abdi, were seriously injured. Hengaw has learned that Hajiji remains in a coma.

In an official statement, "Xori Hiwa" claimed responsibility for the attack. The group said that Khaledi played a prominent role in the suppression and killing of protesters in Javanrud during the Woman, Life, Freedom (Jin, Jiyan, Azadi) movement.
