Fate of Kamran Ahmadinik remains unknown 10 days after arrest

Kamran Ahmadinik, a Lor resident of Junaqan in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, was arrested during a violent raid by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Nearly ten days later, no reliable information is available regarding his fate or whereabouts.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ahmadinik was detained by IRGC Intelligence forces in early June 2026.
Sources familiar with the case told Hengaw that the arrest was accompanied by excessive violence and severe beatings. The abuse was so intense that Ahmadinik sustained a serious fracture to his hand during the arrest.
Despite repeated inquiries by his family to judicial and other relevant authorities in the province, officials have not disclosed the reasons for Ahmadinik’s arrest, any charges against him, or his place of detention.
