PDKI confirms death of six members, including an underground network member, in Piranshahr clash

Following the armed clashes that took place in the Qazqapan mountainous area of Piranshahr on Wednesday evening, the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) has issued an official statement confirming the incident and announcing that six of its members were killed. According to the statement, one of the deceased, Mohammadamin Bayezidi, was a member of the party’s underground network.

Hengaw organization for Human Rights has verified the identities of the six deceased members, all of whom were from Piranshahr County, as Tavana Osmani, Mohammad Khaki (Gargoli), Karo Hormeziari, Fardin Chengizi, Abdullah Mohammadpour (Haji Abdullah), and Mohammadamin Bayezidi, who was a member of the party’s underground network.

Earlier, the IRGC’s Hamzeh Headquarters had released photographs showing the bodies of five of the deceased members.

Hengaw is continuing to investigate the circumstances and available evidence relating to a second armed confrontation reported in the border areas of Sardasht County. Further details will be published as they become available.
