People's Fighters Front confirms deaths of four members in Saravan drone strike

The group calling itself the People's Fighters Front has confirmed that four Baloch men killed during an Iranian military operation in Saravan were members of the organization. The group said they were killed during clashes with Iranian forces after the military launched both a ground assault and a drone strike.

According to a statement issued by the group, Jalil Nahtani, 45, Mohammad Omar Nahtani, 24, Yasin Mohammadzahi, from Taftan, and Vahid Shahouzahi, from Zahedan, were killed in the early hours of Sunday, June 7, 2026, during clashes with Iranian military forces in Saravan, in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

The statement said the operation involved several hours of ground fighting, during which Iranian forces also used drones to target the four men.

A local member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), identified as Mohammad Siahani, was also killed during the clashes.

The group said it delayed publicly confirming the men's membership at the request of their families to prevent Iranian security agencies from obstructing the return of their bodies. More than a month after the incident, the bodies were handed over to their families and buried.

When the incident occurred, Iranian state media and official authorities identified the four only as "armed elements" and did not disclose their identities or report that drones had been used in the operation.
