6 children injured by mine explosions in less than 40 days

Hengaw: In less than 40 days, at least 6 children were killed or injured by mine explosions in the border areas of Ilam

Hengaw: In less than 40 days, at least 6 children were killed or injured by mine explosions in the border areas of Ilam and Kermanshah provinces.

A five-year-old boy, Suhail Hashemi, was seriously injured in a mine blast in the Razaabad area of Mehran city on Saturday, February 5, 2022, according to the report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organisation.

Suhail was injured during he was playing and than he transferred to the next hospital.

At least 6 children under the age of 18 in the border areas of Mehran, Dehloran and Qasr-e-Shirin were severely injured and even disabled by mine blasts in less than 40 days, according to the statistics registered by Hengaw Human Rights Organisation.

Hengaw had previously reported that at least 43 people in the border regions of Kurdistan were killed in mine blasts in 2021, two of them under the age of 18.
