A Kolbar shot dead by direct fire from the Iranian Armed Forces on the border of Salmas

Hengaw : A Kolbar from Salmas  district of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province in Iranian Kurdistan has been shot dead  by direct fire from the Iranian Armed Forces.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 16, 2021, Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps forces opened fire on a group of Kolbars on the borders of  Salmas, and killed one .

This Kolbar has been identified as "Zabet Alkhani", 46 years old. He  was killed near the village of "Agh Barzeh" by the forces stationed at the checkpoint of this village.

According to the sources, this cobbler was carrying a load of cigarettes and was fired upon by the IRGC forces without prior permission.

Zabet Alkhani is married and the father of three children, and his body has been taken to Forsenic Medical Center in Urmia
