Iranian Forces’ Direct Fire Claims Another Kolbar’s Life in One Day

Another Kolbar named Omid Saidi, was fatally shot in the border areas of Saqqez city, Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj), by the Border Regiment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This marks the second Kolbar killed yesterday by direct fire from border regiment forces.

According to a report from the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Saturday, April 13, 2024, 44-year-old Omid Saidi from Sanandaj was shot dead by border regiment forces while attempting to cross the border at the “Bastam” border of Saqqez city.

It is noteworthy that Saidi’s body was discovered today, on April 14, on the border of Bastam after several hours of search by locals.

Hengaw has learned that the horse accompanying Saidi was also killed by the direct fire of the aforementioned forces.

Yesterday, another Kolbar, 20-year-old Mehrdad Abdullahzadeh from Sardasht, was killed by direct fire from border regiment forces at the borders of Sardasht city, West Azerbaijan Province.
