The detention of a Kurdish labour activist

Hengaw: The Iranian security forces detained a Kurdish labour activist from Naghada.

According to Hengaw reporter in Naghada, Asaad Maoloudzada, a Kurdish labour activist was detained by the Iranian intelligence services, and was transported to an unknown location.

A source close to Mr. Maoloudzada’s family told Hengaw that his family still does not know where their son is held or why he was detained.

This is not the first time that Mr. Maoloudzada is arrested.

He was a former member of an organization set up to help workers in the village of Qalatan and was arrested for his activities in 2011 and was released on bail 3-weeks later. He also served another 5-month sentence in 2012 in prison in urmye.
