15 Kolbars Killed or Injured During October 2020

Hengaw: During October, 2020, at least 15 Kolbars (cross border labors) and tradesmen got killed or injured in the border regions of Kurdistan.

Based on the registered statistics of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, during October 2020, at least 15 Kolbars and tradesmen got killed or injured in the border regions of Kurdistan. 87 %  of these cases happened due to direct shots by Iranian and Turkish armed border guards. 

Four Kolbars and tradesmen got killed and at least eleven Kolbars got injured. Most of the victims are from Kurdistan and West Azerbaijan Province. During the past month 6 cases were reported in each province. One of these Kolbars got killed and his brother got injured due to Turkish armed forces shooting them.

Cause of death or injury:
Direct shooting: 13 cases (3 killed, 10 injured) it is 87% in total
Car accident: 1 case (1 killed) it is 6.5% in total
Beating: 3 case (3 injured) it is 6.5% in total

Cases according to Provinces:
West Azerbaijan Province (Urmia): 6 cases (2 killed, 4 injured)
Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj): 6 cases (2 killed, 4 injured)
Kermanshah Province (Kermanshah): 3 cases (3 injured)
