Hengaw : following with the wave of mass detention of Kurdish citizens, another activist from Mahabad was detained by Iranian security forces in Tehran and transferred to Urmia.
According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Saturday, January 9, 2021, a Kurdish citizen from Mahabad district of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province identified as "Sakar Eyni" was detained by the Iranian intelligence forces of IRGC in Tehran.
According to an informed source, Sakar Eyni is a graduate of urban planning at Urmia University and was transferred to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia after his detention .
At least 13 kurdish citizens have been detained in Mahabad in the past three weeks, according to statistics recorded at Hengaw Human Rights Organization's Statistics and Documentation Data Center.
