Young Kolbar from Salmas loses his life due to cold weather

Hengaw: A young Kolbar from Salmas district of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province died of frostbite while  crossing the borders of this city.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, a Kolbar  from Salmas identified as "Fahim Mamadi Ghezel Kand" lost his life due to frostbite while crossing  the borders of this city with.

According to an informed source, Fahim Mamadi Ghezel Kennedy, 35, lost his way back home  due night’s darkness and then  lost his life due to frostbite.

The body of this young Kolbar was transferred to Salmas medical centers and has not been delivered to his family yet.

According to statistics recorded by the Statistics and Documentation Data Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, at least 238 Kurdish Kolbars  and tradesmen  were killed and wounded  from March 2020 to March 2021 , 67 of whom lost their lives.
