Hengaw : Following the wave of mass arrest of Kurdish activists in the city of Sanandaj, at least 7 other citizens have been arrested by Iranian security forces.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Tuesday, May 18, 2021, Iranian security forces in Sanandaj arrested at least 5 citizens, named Keyvan Eliassy, ​​Reza Rezaei, Mohsen Hosseinpanahi, Morteza Mohammadi, and Ghaneh Khateri.

On the other hand, in this regard, Shamsullah Lotfollahullahpour and his wife identified as “ Gashin” were arrested by security services  yesterday.

  Shamsullah Lotfollahullahpour was also sentenced to three years in prison in 2008 for collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party.

As of preparation of this report , the reason or reasons for the detention of these seven citizens, who are also civil activists in Sanandaj, are still unclear , and the charges against them and their whereabouts  are also unknown.
