A shell exploding was killed four people in Saqez and Kermanshah

Hengaw: In recent days, at least four citizens from Kermanshah and Bokan have lost their lives while working as a result of mortar shells left over from the 8-year Iran-Iraq war.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, July 8, 2021, two stockbreeders lost their lives in a mortar explosion in the village of Bastam in the Sarshiv District of Saqez.

According to reliable sources, these two ranchers, Maghsoud Najafi and Rashid Ahmadzadeh  from Bokan, were renting land in the village of Bastam who were working as stockbreeders. These two were killed when a mortar shell exploded near the place of fire setting.

Also, on the evening of Sunday, July 4th, two citizens who were collecting wasted materials were killed when a mortar shell exploded around the town of Jalalieh in Kermanshah.

According to government sources, a 38-year-old citizen died on the spot and a 54-year-old citizen died after being transferred to medical centers due to the severity of his injuries
