Hengaw: During the last month, at least the arrest of 39 Kurdish citizens by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been recorded on charges of political and civil activities. These statistics have increased by 5.5% (2 cases) compared to March.
According to registered statistics at the Documentation Centre of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, in April 2022, at least 39 Kurdish citizens were arrested by the Iranian government's security agencies on charges of political and civil activities.
According to the report, 30 citizens have been arrested on charges of political activities and cooperation with Kurdish parties, 8 citizens have been arrested on charges of participating in the Nowruz ceremony, and 1 citizen has been detained on charges of civic activities.
Last month, at least five women activists and five teenagers below 18 were arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kurdistan.
Most arrests have been recorded with 31 cases by the Intelligence service. Also, most of the detainees have been arrested in their homes with 32 cases by security forces.
