Military drone deployed in arrest of Baloch man Abdolghafar Azarnoush in Mirjaveh

Abdolghafar Azarnoush, a Baloch man from Mirjaveh in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, has been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the operation, a military drone was flown over his residence before he was taken into custody through intimidation and violence.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Thursday, July 31, 2025, Azarnoush, a 20-year-old resident of the Manba-Ab area in Mirjaveh, was detained.

The Haalvsh news outlet, citing its sources, reported: “The raid occurred at 5 a.m., following aerial reconnaissance by a drone. After several minutes of hovering over the house, the drone facilitated the sudden and violent entry of security forces.”

Reports indicate that during the raid, security forces treated Azarnoush’s father and other family members, who were resting at the time, with disrespect and violence.

No confirmed details are available regarding the reasons for his arrest, his place of detention, or the charges against him.
