Following the wave of arrests of teachers and members of the Teachers' Union in Saqez, late in the evening of Thursday, June 16, 2022, two more teachers and members of the Kurdistan Teachers' Union of Saqqez and Zivieh, identified as Dr. Hesam Khakpour and Hassan Rahimian, were arrested by intelligence forces.
Hengaw sources reported that intelligence forces raided the houses of the two citizens without providing any court documents and their houses had been searched by them. According to an informed source, the Intelligence forces also seized Hassan Rahimian and his wife's mobile phones.
On Thursday morning, at least five teachers in Saqqez were arrested by the intelligence service. They had gathered in front of the Education Department, identified as Taher Ghaderzadeh, Esmail Reyhani, Amanj Amini, Hossein Mohammadi, and Ghader Yathrabi.
Yesterday evening, the Saqqez Intelligence service raided the houses of 18 teachers living in Saqqez, and 13 of them were arrested.
