Hengaw: Wednesday, August 30, 2022

Three years have passed since the killing of two young citizens from the cities of Piranshahr and Mahabad called Sadegh Agushi and Bayazid Rasouli, both 23, by the Ministry of Intelligence forces, till now their bodies have not been handed over to their families, and the follow-up of their families has been fruitless.

According to the report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, the family of the two ordinary citizens who are relatives, during the past three years, repeatedly referred to the Intelligence Office and other security institutions in Piranshahr, Mahabad, and Urmia, and every time they were told to refer again, and this year they were told that we will not hand over the bodies in any circumstances.

Sadegh Agushi and his cousin Bayazid Rasouli were shot in their car by the Intelligence Office forces on Friday, August 30, 2019, in the "Zandu Sepi" area of Mahabad, and both died.

It is worth mentioning that IRGC intelligence forces raided Sadegh Agoshi's house on Wednesday, August 28 of the same year, and arrested his father identified as Kaveh Agushi, and his brother identified as Shirko Agushi on charges of cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

On the same day, two members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Ali Bayazidpour and Ebrahim Aziznezhad were killed in a clash with the IRGC forces on the border of Sardasht; their burial place is also unknown.

It should be noted that during the four decades of its rule, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always refused to hand over the bodies of Kurdish political prisoners who were executed and those who were killed in the war between the Revolutionary Guards and the opposition Kurdish parties forces, and it can be said that they are accused of committing a crime of enforced disappearance.
