Three killed following IRGC drone strikes in Zahedan

Three individuals, one identified as Amirreza Rakhshani, were killed following drone strikes by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the Sarkal region, located in the Kurin district of Zahedan, Sistan- Balouchistan Province.
Authorities allege these individuals were members of the group Jaish al-Adl, which recently claimed responsibility for an attack on two police vehicles in the city of Taftan. In addition at least three people have been arrested.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Sunday, October 27, 2024, IRGC drone strikes in the Sarkal region led to the deaths of three individuals, including 23-year-old Amirreza Rakhshani, a resident of Shirabad in Zahedan. The identities of the other two individuals are still under investigation.
The Ansar al-Furqan Islamic group issued an official statement confirming that three of its members were killed in the IRGC drone attack while denying the arrest of one of its members.
It is worth mentioning that the authorities have claimed that at least three individuals connected to the Kūh Gowhar incident were killed, and one was arrested, in a joint operation by the police and IRGC forces on the group’s base. The identity of the arrested individual has not been disclosed yet.
Meanwhile, security forces have arrested several people in Kūh Gowhar in Taftan. The identities of three of those arrested—Ahmad Barahui, Shirmohammad Salarzehi, and Ali Mirbaluchzehi, aged 27—have been confirmed.
On Saturday, two police vehicles were attacked at the entrance to the city of Kūh Gowhar, Taftan, resulting in the deaths of 10 member of military forces. Hours after this attack, Jaish al-Adl claimed responsibility.
