20-year-old Kurdish girl arrested by Iranian security forces in Shahindej

Hengaw: A young Kurdish girl named Leila Mahmoudi was arrested yesterday by the Iranian security forces in the Shahindej district in West Azerbaijan (Urmia) Province and transferred to the Intelligence detention center in Urmia.

 According to the report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, the Iranian Intelligence forces stormed the house of this young girl on Saturday, October 8, 2022, and arrested her without presenting any judicial documents.

 Hengaw has been informed that she was transferred to the detention center of the Urmia Intelligence Department on Sunday.

 It should be noted that the security institutions have accused Leila Mahmoudi of participating in the protests and cooperating with the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran.
