The body of Sanandaj resident Hamid Goli, who was killed by the repressive government's batons during the recent popular resistance in Tehran, was buried in secrecy in his hometown at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022.

According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 44-year-old Hamid Goli's funeral service was scheduled to take place at the Behesht Mohammadi cemetery in Sanandaj on Monday afternoon, but due to pressure from the security institutions, it was held at night and only a few of his relatives were present.

It should be recalled that Hamid Goli, who was recently wounded during protests in Tehran by repressive government forces, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, fell into a coma, and eventually passed away in a Tajrish hospital.

According to Mr. Goli's death certificate, he fractured his skull and suffered a brain hemorrhage after being struck by a hard object. These injuries are also noted in the photograph that Hengaw was able to obtain of Mr. Goli, where the fracture and beating marks on his head are clearly visible.

The exact date and place of death, as well as the place where Mr. Goli was hit with a baton, are not yet available. But on the death certificate, the date of his death is listed as Thursday, October 27, 2022.
