Eight days after the death of Mohsen Mansouri in the central prison of Karaj, Hengaw obtained a document containing his picture and permission to bury him, in which the death of this Kurdish prisoner was confirmed by the government forces stationed in the penitentiary.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights and based on Mohsen Mansouri's burial permit, which was issued on Monday, December 19, 2022, he was from Nahavand and was buried in the cemetery of "Leili Yadgar" village in Khazal district near this city.
This burial permit, which was signed by Ahmad Hosseini Bahadran, the head of the deceased department of the Karaj Municipality Cemetery Management Organization, was sent with the registration number 1456, and the cause of death was stated as "bullet injury."
Mohsen Mansouri, a prisoner of ordinary crimes, was killed by a bullet during the protests on December 17, 2022, in the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Wards of the Karaj Central Penitentiary, following the transfer of several prisoners to solitary confinement for the execution of their death sentence.
An informed source in this regard told Hengaw that "Mohsen Mansouri was shot from behind and at close range with a Colt weapon."
During this unrest, four other prisoners, named Mohsen Qolizadeh, Hassan Abdi, Shahryar Ganji, and Farzad Qobadi, were also injured, and so far there is no information about their health status.
