The Islamic Republic of Iran's judicial system sentenced Parvin Abdullah Panah, a civil rights activist and  member of the board of directors of the Baneh cooperative for construction workers and Handwoven Carpet, to two months in prison and six months with a suspended sentence.

According to information provided to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Parvin Abdullah Panah, a member of the board of directors of the Baneh cooperative for construction workers and Handwoven Carpet, has recently been given an 8-month prison sentence by the 1st Branch of the Saqqez Revolutionary Court in Baneh.

Judge Mirzaei's decision was officially announced to Parvin Abdullah Panah, who was sentenced to two months in prison and a six-month suspended sentence for two years.

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, Parvin Abdullah Panah was freed from Sanandaj Correctional Center following 55 days of detention with a bail of 300 million tomans, temporarily pending the outcome of the hearings.

On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, the Intelligence Department's agents detained this activist from Baneh and at least 7 other activists.

It should be noted that Parvin Abdullah Panah was denied access to a lawyer during her detention.
