Sayvan Ebrahimi, a well-known civil activist from Kamiyaran, a Kurdish language teacher, and a member of the board of directors of the Nojin cultural-social association, has been arrested by the Iranian government forces.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, Sayvan Ebrahimi, one of the civil activists from Kamiyaran, was arrested while he went to the court in Sanandaj to pursue the case of his wife, Zara Mohammadi, and has been transferred to an unknown location.
Until the time of preparation of this news, detailed information about the reasons for the arrest and the charges against Sayvan Ebrahimi, as well as his whereabouts and fate, were still unclear.
Sayvan Ebrahimi is a Kurdish language teacher and a member of the board of directors of the Nojin association.
It should be noted that his wife, Zahra (Zara) Mohammadi, was previously detained by Iranian security forces and sentenced to five years in prison for teaching in Kurdish. She is currently serving her sentence at the Sanandaj Correctional Center.
