This week, there have been 28 confirmed names of imprisoned citizens in Javanrud after the identities of seven more were confirmed, including Alan Vaisi, Irshad Mohammadi, Aso Yari, Zana Sahragard, Maysam Fathi, Barzan Emami, and Sahand Aghaei.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on January 4, 2023, at 5 a.m., Iranian government forces abducted Alan Vaisi, a 16-year-old boy, and took him to an unidentified location.
According to reliable reports, Bahaddin Vaisi, who is a cousin of Alan Vaisi, was shot dead by government forces on November 20, 2022, at the age of 16, while participating in the uprising of the people of Javanroud.
Following the arrests on January 4 in Javanroud, Irshad Mohammadi, an occupational therapy expert; Aso Yari, a professional fitness athlete; and another citizen, Maysam Fathi, were arrested by the government forces.
Earlier, on Tuesday, January 3, two children from Javanroud, named Sahand Aghaei, 16 years old, and Zana Sahragard, a 15-year-old, were transferred to an unknown place after being kidnapped by Iranian government forces.
Also on Sunday, January 1, 2023, Barzan Emami, 19 years old, was arrested by government forces in Javanroud.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, during this week and following the killing of Burhan Eliasi on Saturday, December 31, 2022, to January 5, 2023, at least 28 citizens from Javanroud have been arrested or abducted by government forces.
