Babak Naseri, from Eyvan, Ilam, and a resident of Tehran, was arrested during the recent revolutionary uprisings. He was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and two years of exile.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 35-year-old Babak Naseri was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and two years of exile by one of the branches of the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Tehran.
According to sources in Eyvan, this sentence was later changed to 3 years, 6 months, and 15 days of imprisonment in the appeals court.
This citizen was detained on Monday, September 19, 2022, on Keshavarz Boulevard in Tehran, during the city's popular uprising.
After going through a period of interrogation and detention in the intelligence detention centers of the IRGC in Tehran, he was transferred to the Great Tehran Penitentiary and is still kept in this prison.
Hengaw has been informed that Babak Naseri was denied access to a lawyer during his detention and also during the court session.
