Behzad Hakimizadeh, a lawyer from Saqqez who was kidnapped by Iranian government forces about three weeks ago, is under pressure to obtain a forced confession and frame up new cases against him.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the Iranian intelligence in Sanandaj has put pressure on Behzad Hakimizadeh, a lawyer in the detention center of this institution, to frame up a security case.

According to informed sources, during this week the family of this arrested citizen was summoned under the supervision of intelligence officers, whose purpose was to visit them to impose psychological pressure and obtain a forced confession. Hakimizadeh's family has announced that he has lost some of his weight.

Rasan, 8 years old, and Shahan, 15 months old, the young children of this citizen, were also present with his wife in this meeting planned by Iranian Intelligence.

This source added: "The process of this case is based on Mr. Hakimizadeh's forced confession to "support the parties of Kurdistan."

It should be mentioned that Behzad Hakimizadeh was abducted from his home by Iranian government forces in Saqqez on January 9, 2023. He was then transferred to the detention center of the Intelligence Department in Sanandaj.
