Jalal Soleimani, a student, and another Kurdish citizen named Mahmoud Afrashete, both from Bukan, were arrested and taken to the central prison of this city to serve their sentences of imprisonment and flogging.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Jalal Soleimani, a final-year physics student at Tabriz University, and Mahmoud Afrashete, a married father of two children, were taken to Bukan Prison to serve their prison sentences on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Jalal Soleimani, a native of Bukan, was sentenced to 4 months in prison and 40 lashes by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in this city, headed by Judge "Lashkari," on Tuesday, December 13, 2023.
Also earlier this year, Mahmoud Afrashete, another citizen from Bukan, was sentenced to 4 months in prison and 40 lashes by the Revolutionary Court of this city.
Jalal Soleimani, who in addition to studying professionally in the field of football, was kidnapped by government forces on Friday, September 30, 2022, in one of the streets of Bukan.
These two citizens were deprived of the right to access a lawyer during the period of detention and also during the court session.
