Hossein Ahmadi and Kazem Mam Ismail, Kurdish citizens from Bukan who spent a period of detention at the same time as Fereshteh Hosseini and Yunes Mahmoodzadeh in a joint case, are sentenced to prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hossein Ahmadi and Kazem Mam Ismail have been sentenced to 3 years in prison by Branch 101 of the Iranian Criminal Court in Bukan for the charge of "acting against national security through cooperation with the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK)."
According to Hengaw’s previous report about the prison sentences of two other citizens in this case, the Iranian Criminal Court in Bukan sentenced Fereshteh Hosseini to 8 months in prison for the charge of "propaganda against the regime" and Yunes Mahmoodzadeh for the charge of "collaboration with the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PAJAK)" to 3 years and 8 months of imprisonment.
Hossein Ahmadi and Kazem Mam Ismail, together with Yunes Mahmoodzadeh, were arrested by Iranian government forces on Monday, August 29, 2022. After spending two weeks of interrogation in the detention center of the Iranian government institutions, they were temporarily released on bail until the end of the proceedings.
Also, Fereshteh Hosseini was arrested by the Iranian government forces on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, and after a period of interrogation in the detention center, she was transferred to Urmia Central Prison, and finally, on September 11, 2022, he was released on bail until the end of the proceedings.
It should be mentioned that these four citizens were deprived of their basic rights, such as access to a lawyer and the right to visit their families, during the period of detention and interrogation.
